My friend Andrew Bauman is one of the most courageous men I know. It is beautiful how the one I used to try to lead and protect now leads and protects me. While neither he nor I one would ever choose for him his pathway of pain, it is precisely this struggle which brings such visceral authority to his poignant words. They are so honest and slice so deep that they give Hope of healing yet.

Thank you for capturing this, Andrew. Because it appears so good on the surface, I truly believe this unnoticed misogyny is causing more heart damage and hardening than we account for. People, women, I… start to not trust intimacy. There IS something MUCH worse than not realizing the fulfillment of a desire for love – realizing what you do have is not real love.
